Re-elect Mark Serwotka as PCS union leader

by Paul McGoay
Issue No. 2419

The PCS civil service workers’ union is set to hold its general secretary election this autumn.

The Socialist Workers Party supports current general secretary Mark Serwotka in his bid for re-election.

Under Serwotka’s leadership PCS members have challenged the government’s agenda with action over pay, pensions and job cuts.

Serwotka has rightly called for further united action across the union movement to fight the attacks we face.

The government is still attacking the jobs, pay terms and conditions of PCS members.

We need Serwotka re-elected so that the PCS will remain a fighting union, campaigning for and listening to its members.
