More than 400 people joined a rally in support of Scottish independence outside the Welsh assembly in Cardiff last Saturday.

It united campaigners including trade unionists and Welsh language activists.

Labour councillor Ray Davies said, “David Cameron’s tears aren’t for the people of Scotland.

“It’s about Britain losing its place at the top table of the Nato war machine.”

Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood said, “The referendum is an opportunity to build a fairer society based on inequality.”
