The fascist British National Party (BNP) has expelled former leader Nick Griffin.
The Nazis are in disarray following Griffin’s ousting as an MEP in the European parliament for the North West in May this year.
He was forced to step down as leader shortly after.
The crumbling of the BNP, which had nearly 60 councillors and two MEPs five years ago, is down to determined campaigning by anti-fascists.
Joint secretary of Unite Against Fascism (UAF) Weyman Bennett told Socialist Worker, “Good riddance to Nazi scum.
“Nick Griffin was stopped by successful mobilisations on the street and through campaigning against the BNP wherever they stood in elections.
“But we cannot be complacent.
“Griffin could be where fascist leader of the French Front National Marine Le Pen is today if we hadn’t fought—and we need to keep fighting.”
