Defence Support Group workers announce three day strike

Issue No. 2424

Workers at Defence Support Group (DSG), the Ministry of Defence equipment repair agency, unanimously voted to strike for three days at a mass meeting at Donnington on Monday of this week.

They are demanding an 8 percent pay rise.

Their first strike day is set to coordinate with national action called by the PCS civil service workers’ union on Wednesday of next week.

Unite union rep Ollie Jones told Socialist Worker, “Workers have signalled their intent not just to have a tokenistic one-day strike but a serious campaign of industrial action.”
