Library workers in Greenwich, south east London, have beaten private bosses’ attacks on bosses and pay.
More than 80 workers in the Unite union, employed by “social enterprise” Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) at 12 libraries in the London borough, struck on Thursday of last week.
Unite suspended a further strike day on Friday in response to an offer from bosses.
GLL agreed to increase its pay in line with other local government workers.
