Only 62 percent of jobs full time

Just one in every 40 jobs created since 2008 has been full time, according to research from the TUC. 

Some 64 percent of jobs were full time in 2008, but by 2014 this had fallen to 62 percent. 

Charity probes target Muslims

A quarter of all charities investigated by the Charities Commission were Muslim, freedom of information requests have revealed.

The commission has labelled 55 British charities as being involved with “extremism” without the organisations’ knowledge. 

Council passes boycott motion

Leicester City Council passed a motion on Friday of last week to boycott goods from illegal Israeli settlements on the West Bank.

It is one of the first councils to pass such a motion. Gwynedd Council in north Wales passed a motion suspending trade with Israel last month.
