Socialist Worker

London exhibitions round-up

Issue No. 2432

Ancient lives

In this exhibition we’re presented with eight mummies from ancient Egypt and Sudan, which have been preserved either naturally or through embalming.

But what lives did they lead? Can it tell us about the society they lived in?

The exhibition aims to build up this picture, by using the latest technology to uncover everything from ancient diseases to tattoos.
