Madrid marchers demand dignity

A quarter of a million people from across Spain came together in Madrid last Saturday in the second March for Dignity.

They demanded jobs, homes, and a refusal to pay the Spanish banks’ debts. It followed a protest of more than a million people in March.

Some 140 groups, including anti-eviction campaigners, indignados groups, and some smaller radical unions called the march, as well as representatives of the two big union confederations.
