Aberdeen confronts Nazi street thugs

Five local fascist thugs tried to attack a Justice for the Craigavon Two campaign protest in Aberdeen last Saturday.

Socialists joined radical independence activists, anti-fascist students and the group at the Craigavon Two protest to confront them.

We prevented the fascists unfurling their banners and binned their leaflets. One student said it was the first time he had confronted the fascists and he was glad to have been part of it.

The GMB union members are demanding that the council changes the bin lorry driver’s pay grade.

The union has had a series of disputes with the Green Party-controlled local authority which is implementing cuts.

But local Green MP Caroline Lucas has previously supported the workers.
