by Dave Sewell
Issue No. 2449

The last households on the Sweets Way estate in Barnet, north London, were expecting the High Court bailiffs to evict them as Socialist Worker went to press.

Landlords Annington Properties gave notice on Friday of last week. Campaigners and residents are asking for supporters to contact Annington on 020 7960 7500 to stop the evictions.

They are asking for people to join them in the empty house they are occupying and prepare to protest when the evictions take place.
