Saad Dawabshe died in hospital last Saturday. He was the father of 18-month-old Ali who was killed in an arson attack by two Israeli settlers on his home in the West Bank last month.

He suffered second degree burns to 80 percent of his body. Saad’s wife Reham and their four-year-old son Ahmad are still in hospital.

Israel has sent extra soldiers to the West Bank to clamp down on protests following the murders.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Mahmood Allaan entered the 52nd day of his hunger strike and is in a critical condition. He has been held prisoner by Israel without charge since November.
