Two weeks to go in Unison election

Issue No. 2480

There are just over two weeks left to vote for the next general secretary of the Unison union.

Activists in the left wing campaign for John Burgess, the Barnet Union secretary in north London, have been hitting key workplaces and finding an overwhelmingly positive response.

Another 100,000 leaflets are now being distributed.

Tirza Waisel, an anti-cuts activist in Barnet, said, “Having John as general secretary of the biggest public sector union will make the fight against austerity stronger.”
