London Met art students plan protest against cuts at the Cass

by Nick Clark
Issue No. 2481

Students at the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design (Cass) in east London were set to protest on Thursday of this week.

They’re fighting plans to cut jobs, courses and student places.

The Cass is part of London Metropolitan University. Students at the Cass have been campaigning against plans to relocate the school to the university’s campus on Holloway Road in north London.

The relocation would mean cuts to jobs and courses.

The students are demanding that university vice chancellor John Raftery halt the selling of the east London campus until they have been consulted about the changes.

Protest—5pm, Thu 26 Nov, Holloway Rd, London N7 8DB
