Coming Oot! A Fabulous History of Gay Scotland

This programme looks at the changing situation for LGBT people in Scotland, using eyewitness testimony and archive material.

The programme rightly argues that LGBT people have won gains.

But its claim that the change has been near revolutionary—with LGBT people going from being “pariahs” to “Scotland’s pride”—is a little too simplistic.

From Joan Baez and KT Tunstall’s haunting melodies to Siouxsie and the Banshees’ raw energy, fans will find it worth a listen.
