Housing campaigners protested outside the landlords’ Property Awards on Tuesday of last week.

Manju told Socialist Worker, “It’s disgusting watching these rich bastards walking in as if they don’t know what they’re doing to ordinary people.”

Around 200 people attended a housing activists’ conference in London last Saturday.

And activists plan a lobby of parliament when the Tories’ hated Housing and Planning Bill returns to the Commons next Tuesday.

Even the minor amendments that have been won in the House of Lords could be overturned.

Glynn Robbins from the Defend Council Housing campaign said, “The bill is poison and the amendments just dilute the poison.”

All roads lead to the Kill the Housing Bill national demonstration in London on Saturday 18 June.
