ANTI-NAZI campaigners have been out on the streets of Stoke, where the Nazi BNP is standing a candidate in an election to be mayor. Some 20 people went out last Saturday, and a further 30 went out leafleting last Sunday.
A local organisation, North Staffordshire Against Racism and Fascism, held a rally of 150 people in the town last Sunday evening. Martin Lynch told Socialist Worker, 'The response to the leafleting from local people was good. Those who came to the meeting were overwhelmingly local people. It was a very young audience, with lots of trade unions like the FBU showing their support.'
