Three new CDs

In Poetry of Resistance (£5), Mike Rosen performs 30 rebel poems from across the ages.

Words of Resistance (£5) includes Ghada Karmi reading from her book In Search of Fatima, poetry from Jean Binta-Breeze and Michael Rosen, Victoria Brittain performing Guantanamo, and a short story from China Mieville. These performances were recorded at the European Social Forum in October.

You can also hear Paul Foot on Red Shelley (£7), a wonderful talk about one of Paul’s heroes, the radical poet Shelley.

It includes a reading by Paul from Shelley’s The Mask of Anarchy.

ON 10 October a capacity audience filled London’s Hackney Empire to celebrate the life and work of Paul Foot, writer, campaigning journalist, orator and revolutionary socialist.

This DVD is an edited version of the evening’s highlights. It includes archive footage of Paul’s appearances on BBC’s Question Time, some of his speeches and television investigations.

Among the many contributors are Tony Benn, John Pilger, Jeremy Hardy, Mark Steel, Colin Wallace, Rory Bremner and Eamonn McCann.
