Scared to leave

Issue No. 1811

JUST 44 percent of Britain's workers take their full holiday entitlement, a new report revealed this week. One in five people take less than a quarter of what they are owed, according to the internet jobs site reed.co.uk.

British workers have the right to a minimum of 20 days paid leave a year-11 days less than the average for the EU. The top reasons for not taking holidays were 'there is too much work to do', it might damage a worker's career or even put them first in line for redundancies.
