Friction Dynamics

Issue No. 1810

TRADE UNIONISTS on Merseyside held a benefit night for the sacked Friction Dynamics workers last week. It raised over £5,000. The workers, members of the TGWU union, were sacked by the boss of their factory in Gwynedd, North Wales, over 15 months ago.

They had gone on strike against attacks on their working conditions and kept to all the anti-union laws. But the boss still sacked them. The workers are still picketing the factory, and their cases are due to come to an industrial tribunal on early October.
