Issue No. 1804

BULLY BOSSES at Arriva Trains Northern have been rocked by the thirteenth strike this year. Arriva's lowest paid workers walked out again last Friday for 24 hours. Some workers are paid just £9,500.

The company's 600 RMT members and conductors are fighting for decent pay. Not only is the strike action solid, but the RMT is recruiting workers to the union throughout the region because of the stand being taken to fight for decent pay. RMT members have even received begging letters from the company asking them to abandon their pay claim and their union.

Bob Crow, RMT general secretary, said, 'Our members have told us they will not accept the crumbs on offer.'

Donations to the strike fund are urgently needed. Send c/o RMT, Unity House, 39 Chalton Street, London NW1 1JD.
