A recent pension review means:

  • they can retire on a full pension on two thirds of their final salary after 27 years, rather than 33
  • an increase from 1/50th to 1/40th of salary paid as pension per year of service


  • receive pensions that are half of their £113,121 to £205,242 salary
  • get a lump sum of 2.25 times their annual pension on their retirement
