Students at the University of Westminster in London demonstrated on Wednesday of last week against the university management’s plans to change the academic timetable.
The student union handed in a petition of 2,000 signatures against the change.
The planned changes will reduce the academic year by four weeks, removing the mid-term assessment period so that students receive no feedback on their work until the end of the academic year.
They will also sit all their exams at the end of the academic year.
Staff, teachers and students are opposed to the changes, which are being pushed through without consultation.
