Meetings on Latin America at Marxism 2005

Sue Branford will be speaking at the Marxism 2005 event in central London. This takes place between 7-11 July.

Thousands of activists from across Britain and the world will be attending the five days of debate, discussion, music and film.

Marxism 2005 has a fascinating range of speakers and meetings on Latin America. The economist Alfredo Saad-Filho will join Sue Branford to discuss Lula’s Brazil.

Writer Richard Gott will speak on Hugo Chavez and the Venezualan revolution.

Professor Mike Gonzalez will speak on the revolt in Latin America today and the radical Brazilian educationalist Paulo Friere.

There will also be a host of other meetings including Stephen Rose on the brain, Victoria Brittain and the politics of torture and Mark Curtis on British foreign policy since the Iraq war.
