Anti ID card pledge drive launched

Issue No. 1956

NO2ID, the national campaign against the government’s plans to introduce compulsory identity cards, has launched a pledge drive to build opposition to the scheme.

They aim to gather 10,000 people who will promise to refuse to register for an ID card and pledge £10 to a collective legal defence fund.

To sign the pledge, go to the NO2ID campaign website at and follow the instructions. The £10 pledge will only be collected if the target of 10,000 people signing up is reached.
