The latest addition to the line up at Marxism 2005 will be author and activist Tariq Ali. Tariq will be speaking on War Crimes in Iraq — Memories of Vietnam and will be showing archive footage of the Bertrand Russell War Crimes Tribunal into US atrocities in Indochina.
Alastair Reid, author of the best selling United We Stand — A History of British Trade Unionism‚ will debate T&G union activist and writer Dave Sherry on issues facing the unions in the 21st century.
Rose Gentle of Military Families Against the War will join Andrew Burgin of the Stop the War Coalition and others to discuss the significance of this first ever movement of British soldiers’ families against war.
