Liverpool anti-racism

Issue No. 1971

Merseyside is to see what is hoped to be its biggest ever march against racism on Saturday 22 October following a series of incidents of racial harassment and violence and the racially motivated killing of Anthony Walker.

The march is being organised by the new Campaign against Racial Terrorism (Cart) which was established in the city in August.

The march is supported by Merseyside trades council, the Liverpool 8 Law Centre, the Merseyside Coalition Against Racism and Fascism and the Liverpool Echo.

The march will leave the Liverpool Caribbean Centre at 12 noon for a rally at St George’s Plateau.
