Respect for Youth

Issue No. 1972

Tower Hamlets Respect for Youth will be holding its launch meeting in the east London borough on Sunday 23 October.

Speaking at the event will be Salma Yaqoob, chair of the Birmingham Stop the War Coalition, Kate Connelly, president of Respect at Queen Mary University of London, and George Galloway, Respect MP for Bethnal Green & Bow.

He said, “There is a revolt spreading here among the young people against the betrayals of New Labour that have so blighted their futures.

“That’s why so many young people are now joining Respect — because they believe another, better world is possible.”

The meeting takes place on Sunday 23 October at 3pm in the Brady Centre, Hanbury Street, London E1
