Rolls Royce workers in Bristol return to work

The appeal to raise £150,000 for Socialist Worker has gone well past £40,000.

Donations this week included £100 from the Rolls Royce test areas shop stewards committee.

They wrote, “This committee and everyone involved in our dispute would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Socialist Worker for all your efforts and support during our recent fight to reinstate Jerry Hicks, the victimised and sacked convenor at the Bristol Rolls Royce test areas site.

“Although reinstatement was not achieved, Jerry was only able to negotiate a brilliant return to work agreement due to continued support from people like yourselves.

“The complete solidarity and support was beyond belief. Once again, many thanks.”

J Locke, convenor, and JJ Smart, secretary, Amicus shop stewards committee, test areas, Rolls Royce, Bristol
