Student groups around the country are setting up meetings to elect delegates to the International Peace Conference in London on 10 December.
Swansea University Students Union has passed a motion supporting the conference. Johnny Jones is the chair of Student Respect at the university. He said, “It’s really important for as many groups as possible to send delegates to the conference.
“This will be an amazing opportunity to bring together the whole of the anti-war movement. People here are excited about going.
“It can be hard to keep the momentum of the movement going at times. People have been fighting against this war for nearly three years now — and the government seems no closer to listening to us.
“That’s one of the reasons that this conference is so important. We can come together with activists from across the world and organise the way forward.”
