SOME 350 people joined an angry protest march through Exeter on Saturday last week, demonstrating their solidarity with the Palestinians. It was a multiracial march, and was followed by campaigning against Israeli goods in the high street.
IN NOTTINGHAM town centre 130 people joined a protest last Saturday in support of the Palestinians. Earlier in the week some 160 people attended a rally called by Nottingham Stop the War Coalition.
PORTSMOUTH Stop the War Coalition held a picket of Waitrose, calling for a boycott of Israeli goods and in solidarity with the Palestinians, on Friday of last week.
Afterwards 150 marched and rallied in the town. At the rally a socialist who is an Israeli citizen tore up her Israeli passport, to applause from the crowd.
SOME 90 people joined an anti-war march in Whitstable in Kent last Saturday. Protesters demanded that Israeli tanks get out of Palestine, and that Bush and Blair don't attack Iraq.
