Babar Ahmad, the south London IT worker threatened with extradition to the US on trumped up terrorism charges, will go to court later this month to fight attempts to deport him.
His high court appeal and judicial review of the decision to approve the extradition request against him will start on Monday 20 February.
A spokesperson for the Free Babar Ahmad campaign urged people to check the campaign website for details of any demonstrations to coincide with the case. Babar has been held in custody since August 2004.
Meanwhile the campaign is backing a meeting to be held at the House of Commons next week to demand an end to the unjust extradition arrangements between Britain and the US brought in by this government.
Speakers are scheduled to include civil rights lawyer Gareth Peirce and former Guantanamo Bay inmate Moazzam Begg.
Extradition treaty meeting, 6.45pm, Thursday 16 February, Attlee Suite, House of Commons, London. For more go to www.freebabarahmad.com
