Socialist Worker appeal: help us raise £200,000

Issue No. 2017

Socialist Worker wants to raise £200,000. The money you donate will help pay for our coverage of campaigns across Britain and the world.

Fran Choules is a post worker in Exeter who is supporting the appeal. He said, “On behalf of all the No1 South West Branch CWU and its members, I would like to thank all those who supported us throughout our strike. To all those CWU branches, other local trades unions trades councils, individuals and the Belfast Taxi Drivers Association, who gave their moral, financial and practical support, we wish to express our heartfelt appreciation.

“Together we have achieved a complete victory.

“We would like to particularly thank Socialist Worker supporters for their unstinting and unconditional support. Due to our union office being inaccessable throughout the strike organisation was doubly difficult.

“Their contribution played a major part in our victory. If anyone is wondering how the Socialist Worker appeal is spent they should ask someone who was on strike in Exeter during the past seven days.

“I know of at least one CWU Branch that will be donating to the appeal!”
