Campaigners against the privatisation of council housing in Swansea, South Wales, met last week to discuss their plans for activities when a transfer ballot begins later this year.

Among those taking part were Swansea East Labour MP Sian James, and Labour councillors Rob Stewart, Robert Francis-Davies and Mike Hedges.

With housing ballots planned in over 40 areas across Britain, Defend Council Housing has produced an excellent eight-page broadsheet with all the latest news.

It has analysis of Labour’s conference vote, the case for the “fourth option”, arguments against transfer, PFI and Almos, and how to organise effective local campaigns. Bulk order copies for tenants, trade unions and councillors (£18 per 100 or £100 per 1,000).
