Organising for Fighting Unions conference

Issue No. 2025

‘I am attending the Organising for Fighting Unions conference to join in the discussions about political representation.

Union leaders including Bob Crow, my own RMT general secretary, Mark Serwotka of the PCS and Matt Wrack of the FBU will be speaking. It will also be good to hear from John McDonnell, the left challenger for the Labour leadership.

It is going to be a very interesting and important event, and anything I can pick up I will take forward in my trade union.’

Agnes Lingard, assistant branch secretary to RMT London regional council

With Labour MP John McDonnell, Matt Wrack of the FBU, Bob Crow of the RMT and Mark Serwotka of the PCS, POA general secretary Brian Caton, deputy general secretary of the CWU Tony Kearns, Mark Baulch from the CWU NEC and Alex Kenny from the NUT national executive are among hundreds of trade unionists backing the conference.
