The CWU has called a national demonstration and rally in London on Tuesday 21 August to increase the pressure on management as part of the next round of action.
CWU union branches outside London are putting on coaches. The march will assemble at Clerkenwell Green (Farringdon tube), at 12 noon.
The protest can be a focus for all trade unionists involved in a similar fight.
The RMT rail workers’ union is urging its members to attend.
It says, “All RMT branches should help ensure the
biggest possible turnout, and bring banners, flags and whistles.
“Please also urge fellow trade unionists, trades councils, family and friends to turn out – the CWU’s fight is our fight, so let’s mobilise for 21 August.”
The CWU union has set out a programme of action for the dispute to increase the pressure on Royal Mail management.
The CWU has also organised strikes for next week.
