ACROSS THE world people have shown support for the Egyptian revolution.
Up to 1,000 joined the Stop the War Coalition protest at the Egyptian embassy in London last Saturday.
They chanted in Arabic, “Bread, food and human dignity,” and in English, “Hey ho, Mubarak has got to go.”
The protest followed a 300 strong Stop the War meeting in central London on Wednesday of last week. At this Egyptian activist Dina Makram Ebeid said, “I remember when our demonstrations were 200. Now we’ve had millions. But, we have not won yet—we must stay out until we do.”
Protests also took place in Sheffield, Nottingham and there were two in Manchester.
Solidarity protests have spread around the world—from Canada and the US to the West Bank city of Ramallah.
