Protesters surrounded the Greek finance ministry building in Athens on Thursday of last week, as officials met with Greece’s “Troika” of international creditors.
Protesters included public sector workers facing job cuts, and the ministry’s own cleaners who are on strike.
The cleaners had also addressed a mass rally outside parliament of dockers striking against privatisation two days previously. They shouted, “Solidarity, the weapon of the people, this is the response of the cleaners.”
