Russia will send another “humanitarian aid” convoy to Ukraine in the next few days, foreign minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
The first Russian aid convoy entered Ukraine without the government’s permission on Friday of last week and left during the weekend.
The hypocritical US warned Russia not to use the “humanitarian aid” as a guise for military intervention.
The Ukrainian government claimed that an armoured column also crossed the border near Mariupol, but Lavrov denied it.
Russia’s aim is to have a weakened Ukraine that’s not allied to the West.
Western sanctions have been hitting its top firms and the separatist forces are suffering defeats.
More than 2,000 people have been killed and 330,000 people are displaced as a result of the fighting between Ukrainian and separatist forces.
