Workers marched through the Turkish capital Ankara last Sunday in protest at a government ban on a strike.

Some 15,000 metal workers walked out on indefinite strike on Thursday of last week demanding a wage increase.

But the following day the Turkish government banned the action for 60 days, claiming it damaged national security.
