The United States military continued its aggression against China by sailing two warships through the Taiwan Strait on Sunday of last week.

The US defended its actions, but to China, this was a clear provocation after tension began to rise following Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan last month. China responded to Pelosi’s visit by launching large scale military drills in the area—which have continued.

Taiwanese officials claim 23 Chinese aircraft and eight ships are operating around the island nation’s coast. Seven of these aircraft crossed the median line of the strait—an unofficial barrier between the two nations. The two imperialist nations are edging towards conflict with war games and growing agitations.

The US is keen to do this as they continue to describe China as the West’s biggest threat. China claims Taiwan as a part of its territory, but the US hopes to rally allied nations around a campaign to defend Taiwan’s independence.

This is all done to build imperialist opposition to China that can only have a bloody conclusion with ordinary people suffering most.
