A US warship fired missiles on a village in north east Somalia on Friday of last week – a bombardment that was almost completely ignored by the British media.
Somalia has been torn apart by fighting ever since Ethiopian troops, backed by the US, invaded the country to oust a popular Islamist movement and install a puppet government.
The new Somali government claims that the US attack killed a dozen “international terrorists”, including British nationals.
