Tragedy in Manchester shows real cost of NHS cuts
The terrible cost of cuts in Manchester’s mental health services is clearly illustrated by the death of William Scott, a 49 year old man from Manchester. William suffered multiple stab wounds that his family say were self inflicted. This tragedy was neither unforeseen nor inevitable.
This week postal workers have dealt Royal Mail bosses a massive blow with our two 48-hour strikes. The action was extremely solid across the country and management’s prediction that this strike would be the end of the union is now looking very foolish.
