A killer comes to Europe
GEORGE BUSH, the butcher of Iraq, is arriving in Europe this weekend. He is flying into Evian in France to meet with his fellow leaders of the "G8" richest industrial countries. He comes determined to hammer home his victory in Iraq - even though every day there are reports of more deaths and killings in the country he claims to have liberated.

Let's tear up all the SATs
"I AM going to completely boycott these tests. I am never doing the SATs in my school again." That's what Birmingham primary school head teacher Carol Lyndon told Socialist Worker on Monday after her frustration at the government's compulsory tests for school children reached breaking point.

Blair war lies fall apart
...and so do documents used to smear George Galloway.

Defend George Galloway
EVERY DAY the brutal reality of the occupation of Iraq becomes clearer. It means repression in the interests of profit and US power. New Labour's response is to suspend anti-war MP George Galloway from the party. The target is not just one individual, but every one of the millions who marched against the bloody war on Iraq.

Another 70p insult from new Labour
TONY BLAIR'S government plans to rob 7.4 million of Britain's poorest people. Blair caused an outcry by giving pensioners an insulting rise of just 75p in October 1999. Now he wants to rob the unemployed. People on benefits are to get an annual increase of just 70p a week. People on Jobseeker's Allowance, income support and incapacity benefit get their benefits adjusted this month.
