Postal workers strike against pay limit: It’s a fight for us all
We are asking every worker in Britain to support our strike on Friday of this week to stop Royal Mail’s devastating business plan. This plan will mean cuts in your postal service, fewer collections and deliveries, even more post office closures and cuts to workers’ pay and conditions.

‘I’m telling you to get the troops out of Iraq’
My message to Gordon Brown is that we must get the troops home now. My son is a serving soldier just back from Iraq. I am not a pacifist, but I am against what is happening in Iraq – the illegality and the lies.

Pay: the fight is on... and this is why
Postal workers have voted by three to one to strike over pay, conditions and to defend a public service.

We need decent housing for all
Housing is the biggest headache affecting us all. Fewer and fewer people can afford to buy a home. Those who try find themselves deeper and deeper in debt.

‘I took a picture of Tower Bridge and was arrested for terrorism’
Government ministers and police chiefs are demanding new powers to allow the police to stop and search people in the streets if they suspect them of terrorism. These powers echo the notorious "sus laws" of the 1970s.
