The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) says that government cuts put 50,000 jobs at risk in the health service in England.
It adds that some of these jobs have already gone.
In a report published last week, the RCN says that the cuts are hitting front-line jobs.
It also says that the number of jobs at risk will rise because its current figure is based on evidence from fewer than half of NHS trusts.
