In 2008 Vestas’s global profits increased by 51 percent to £575 million.

Vestas saw a 70 percent rise in its profits in the first three months of this year.

Some 13 of Vestas’s directors and executives shared a massive £9 million in wages and bonuses last year.

Vestas holds 20 percent of the wind turbine market and boasts that it is the “world’s leading supplier of wind power solutions”.
