Afghan MP Malalai Joya addressed more than 200 people at a Stop the War Coalition meeting in central London on Thursday of last week.
She denounced the Western-occupation of her country and the warlord-dominated government that rules with US support at the meeting and her speech was described as “electrifying”.
She has been suspended from the Afghan parliament since 2007 when she compared MPs to residents of a zoo.
Joya has written a book, Raising My Voice, proceeds from which will be used for humanitarian projects in Afghanistan.
