Ambulance workers in Liverpool are voting on whether to strike after two paramedics in the Ambulance Service Union were suspended for alleged gross misconduct.

They are alleged to have missed an emergency call. On the day in question they had signed off a shift early due to illness. On returning to work the next day they were sent home and suspended. The ballot result on possible action was due this week.
