Teachers were outraged this week after the General Teaching Council (GTC) agreed to remove its chair from a panel set to hear a case against fascist British National Party (BNP) member Adam Walker.

Adam Walker, a former teacher, is accused of spreading religious and racial intolerance.

He claimed that the presence of NUT teachers’ union executive member Judy Moorhouse on the GTC panel that was to hear his case would bias it against him.

It is shocking that the GTC has caved in to the BNP by removing her from the panel.
