David Cameron is on tour, touting for trade for his arms dealer chums in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Burma.

Some 55 representatives from big business are accompanying the prime minister’s trade delegation.

Leading the pack is Britain’s biggest arms manufacturers, BAE Systems. BAE has a history of doing business in Indonesia, exporting more than 30 fighter jets to the brutal Suharto dictatorship in the 1980s and 1990s.

They are joined by five other major weapons dealers including missile developers MBDA and Thales, which manufactures fighter jets.

A further 12 companies on the delegation are selling products with military applications, such as JCB and Balfour Beatty.
